Phratthat Doi Suthep pagoda is an outstanding attraction that you should not miss. This is the most holy pagoda in Chiang Mai, built in the 13th century, a very significant symbol of the city. Phratthat Doi Suthep presents very well the unique virtues of Chiang Mai: Ancientness, solemnity, yet peacefulness and coziness.  

In Chiang Mai, there are so many little monks that you can come across along the way. As Buddhism has been playing an important role in Thai people’s life, they go into monasteries and become monks very soon.
