Situated on the southern end of the Red River Delta, Ninh Binh has a diverse topography of both mountainous and coastal areas. It can be said that the Ninh Binh contains all the picturesque essence of whole Vietnam within its fairly small size. Moreover, the province represents typical villages of the Northern with enormous green paddy fields, beautiful river and expanding mountains. It is also worth to mention Ninh Binh's history: being the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, Ninh Binh is a site of relics that mirrors its 1000 years of history and expansion.

Mother Nature has endowed this land many of fascinating landscapes, a lot of popular caves of Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Tien caves, Hoa Son grotto, etc. The Cuc Phuong National Park is famous for its abundance of flora, especially there has a thousand year – old tree. This area has many historical religious culture spots as the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, the Stone Church of Phat Diem, and the Non Nuoc Pagoda. All these monuments have become the destinations that attract travelers from everywhere.

From its early days, Ninh Binh was developed as the cultural and political center of Vietnam under the reign of Dinh Tien Hoang King in 968. Thanks to this, the number of primeval vestiges here may devastate any other provinces in Vietnam.

The first capital of Vietnamese feudal centralism regime - Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is undoubtedly the most attractive place where tourists may find thousands of remnants of temples, pagodas, tombs and even royal palaces related to the three dynasties of Dinh, Le and Ly.

Appealing by a complex of ancient pagodas and new ones is Bai Dinh Pagoda. This is the Buddhist Center of Vietnam and is also the largest temple in Southeast Asia. Bai Dinh Pagoda has recently listed as one of the top attractive destinations in Vietnam.

Besides the historical value, charming natural scenery, the land of Ninh Binh also attracts visitors by its unique dishes with delicious flavor. Mentioning to Ninh Binh’s specialties, people would immediately think about delicious dishes made from goat, Kim Son wine, eel vermicelli and Com Chay (dried rice).
