The Royal Palace of Wat Mahathat exhibits ancient stuffs, located in the center of Sukhothai town. To the West of the Royal Palace, there is the largest cathedral, also the religious center of ancient Sukhothai. This site profoundly affects every ethnic Khmer with Buddhist statues located on each tub with countless little novices showing their homage at the feet. Inside the Buddhist cathedral Hall, there is the 8m high bronze Buddha statue. Every masterpiece in Wat Mahathat creates this old city the ancient and impressive features. Other places of interest in Sukhothai include Wat Si Chum temple, Wat Si Sawai pagodas complex, Wat Chang Lom and Wat Saphan Hin old ramparts of the city.
