Not like cuisine of Hanoi - some what “gentle” and “sensitive” or Hue – “sweet” but “sharp”, cuisine of Mekong Delta in general and Ben Tre in particular as characteristics of locals: open-minded and innocent which is clearly reflected in coconut and marine salad. As it names, this special salad includes coconut flesh, shrimps, squids, carrot, cucumber, fried ground and some kinds of herbs. Coconut and marine salad has such wonderful taste: crispy and sweet of coconut flesh, salty of seafood, buttery of fried groundnuts, fresh of carrot and cucumber and cool of herbs.
